    About PAUSE AND REFLECT

    Our Mission

    At PAUSE AND REFLECT LLC,  The Path of Life®: The Joy of Living at the End-of-Life© board game is an interactive alternative teaching strategy to enlighten others on this difficult subject.  My passion as a hospice and palliative care nurse over many years provided the knowledge base for my research. The game is played for a variety of people including lay persons, universities, hospital units, and nursing new graduate programs.

    The focus of The Path of Life®: The Joy of Living at the End-of-Life© board game is to create an understanding of the ability to attain joy at the end of life despite your diagnosis and prognosis. This is accomplished by you and others through: assuming the role of a patient at the end of life; hearing your diagnosis and prognosis; making decisions on your treatment options; reflecting on updates regarding your situation; and to pause and reflect with others on what is most important to you in your life. You also look at the question of what brings you comfort and joy?
